Due to the extreme success of Packing Partner V3,  for the next few months I am not taking any new subscriptions. This is to give time to catch up on the existing backlog of feature requests and decide how best to expand AiMCo software. This does not affect existing users.

If you are an existing user looking to add another PC, or have been referred by a partner please email me for a link to the download.

On the old PC:

Open Packing Partner>Tools>Options>System and click Data Folder, this will open an explorer window

In the explorer window, copy all files and folders except all copies of settings.dat to a shared folder or memory stick.

There are three copies of settings.dat, one in the root folder, one under _backup and one under _safe.

On the new PC

Download and install the trial version from here

Open Packing Partner>Tools>Options>System and click Data Folder

Close Packing Partner and copy and replace all files and folders from the shared folder.

Re-open Packing Partner and you should have all your layouts and settings imported.

Feature licenses are unique to each PC, so you will have to select your features.

Transfer the subscription

Once you are happy that everything is working correctly on the new PC, contact AiMCo with both serial numbers.

We can then transfer your subscription from the old to the new PC.

Once your subscription is transferred, you will not be able to use Packing Partner on the old PC.

Please check the following first

You have Windows XP with Internet Explorer 8 or Windows Vista/7 with Internet Explorer 9

You have the latest printer driver and Windows updates are up to date

If printing still isn't working

In Packing Partner, click Print then select any other printer and click Properties, in the printer properties, click OK

Reselect the correct printer and click Properties, in it's properties, click OK, then try printing

If none of the above work, then please contact us

Edit the file settings.ini in the Packing Partner's data folder, to find the data folder:

On XP: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Packing Partner V3

On Vista, 7 or 8: C:\Users\username\Appdata\Local\Packing Partner V3 - (username is your Windows login name)

Open settings.ini in Notepad. Beneath the [System] section, remove the line that starts lc= , save and launch Packing Partner
