1 downloaded order linked to the wrong eBay record

Hi Andrew

A customer just emailed me as they received an email with their order confirmation sent by PP which had the wrong order details.

I checked the order in PP and found that the SKU was correct but the description of the order was wrong, and when clicking on the order ID in PP it opened up a completely different order number, where the order details match what was downloaded on the order details in PP.

I have not noticed this happen before. I 'removed' the order in PP and redownloaded it, and now the details are all correct. Wondering how this could have happened, as it could lead to picking the wrong items if using the description rather than the SKU.

Not sure how that could have happened, and we've not heard of it before.

I would for the moment assume that it is just a one off, these things do sometimes happen.

Definitely not a one-off. This happens at least 2 or 3 times a week. When downloading 70 orders, often I find one or two orders get mixed up. I have to religiously go through every order, and where they are combined, click the order numbers to check the eBay orders match the records. If they don't I have to delete the records and download them again.

Before I noticed this we used to get a lot of complaints where people didn't receive their order or did not get the right items. After spending a lot of time every day checking all the orders for this problem and resolving them, the complaints have reduced significantly, but the occasional one still gets through.

There is no way that the program can mix up orders, so there must be a logic to it.

I'd need to connect to you and have a look at why this is. If you can Email us me a number, I'll call you and have a look.

At the moment we don't have any phone, but I will call you when we get it back.

Have you changed the product description or title in the past as it may still have the old details. This did happen to me a while back when I changed a title on ebay I think? But if I remember I clear the cache and recent I think it was and images. It was something like that but it was a while ago.
